Production Update : June 10, 2022
Hello Singing Tea Kettle Enthusiasts,
This past week two new iterations of plastics were received. We faced delays with COVID factory shutdowns and a few days of schedule slippage with our supplier.
The first part is the music disc. The new iteration is a CNC machined version of the production mold part which had holes (aka music notes in the song "Tea for Two") plugged, the drilled to new locations to prevent the notes from playing duplicates.
This is still being tested to determine if it resolves the two note issue. Stay tuned.
The new kettle handle has some patentable iterations that I can't show until patent is filed. There are some fitment issues and materials to change to deliver the right fit and finish.
This project is self funded to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars. I have a competent team working on the project but the inherent lack of capital and small order quantity makes it a delicate balance of finding partners which the skills to produce tight tolerance plastics and still be a relevant customer for them. I am actively trying to raise funds to finalize production with a boots on the ground team and move to the production location until we are off the ground. There are a few investor meetings scheduled over the next two weeks and we'll have some video content to support this effort out shortly.
Thank you for your support to connect, create, and live beautifully.
