Production Update - Post Chinese New Year
Chinese New Year has come to an end, and the testing of the piston cup, part 15, diameter is now complete. A total of 60 piston cup parts were produced, with 10 for each distribution grouping based on outer diameter size. The experiment confirmed our hypothesis from November, determining the correct outer diameter size needed for the part to function correctly. It must be within 2/1000ths to meet the required specifications. This is a huge milestone to acheive reliable functional play from the tea kettle!
What's the Latest Progress?
Our testing partner, the renowned global firm SGS, known for working with companies like Williams Sonoma, has received 10 kettles for testing. Our factories have also produced certificates of guarantee for the materials used in the production process. The testing conducted on March 8th by SGS has been completed successfully, marking a significant milestone in the project.
When Can Customers Expect Shipments?
With the successful testing, we are now able to unlock some sample units to ship to our eager customers. However, there is a slight delay in the packaging process as our broker is coordinating on outstanding accounts with the supplier. Rest assured, we are working diligently to resolve this issue and get the products packaged and shipped out as soon as possible. Once SGS testing is completed and passes muster production for the 300 remaining parts will begin. It is expected there will be some refinement for kettle bodies but we are looking at having a handful of beta units in the next 60 days.
