Production Updates : June 12, 2021

Dear Singing Tea Kettle Enthusiasts,

Firstly I want to thank you all for being patient in this production process. I am striving to produce a top-quality specimen worthy of your home kitchen and MoMA. 

Yesterday, June 11, was supposed to be a big day with a batch of new parts delivered by a crucial supplier. Unfortunately, as this is a smaller production run jockeying for pole-position to have mold modifications made takes multiple factory visits and persistence. The new factory visit with tighter-tolerance parts is slated for June 22nd.  

In other news we are testing FDA-food safe silicone epoxy to adhere a heat shield (which prevents steam from irritating a user's hand) to the main whistle housing (mold photo attached).  We are testing both Masterbond and Henkel products and working with manufacturers to handle the high temperature and moisture environments.  While progress can seem slow at times there are critical quality assurance steps and processes to be followed ensuring the highest-quality standards are met.
