Production Update: Baby, Wedding, and What’s Brewing

Hi everyone,

First, some personal news from behind the kettle:

• We recently welcomed our daughter, Faye Gibbs Kendall, into the world!

• I am planning our wedding and launched a fun side project: The Pickleball Proposal — a hollow pickleball that twists open to reveal a wedding ring!

• 

Now for the kettle production update:

• March shipment delay: We expected 40 more units to ship, but our kettle body manufacturer missed their deadline. That’s now resolved, and we have 160 new kettle bodies in stock.

• Gasket upgrade: We replaced a supplier that sent low-quality rubber seals. The new gaskets are much better.

• Washer issue: One part — a small washer that lets the music disc spin — didn’t meet spec from our vendor, which slowed us down.

• Assembly status: We’re hand-assembling units for now, which reduces output. I meet with the team tomorrow to lock in numbers, but expect 20–40 units to ship in the next 60 days.
